Write your own D&D one-shot! This workshop will help new DM's create a completed D&D 5E one-shot that is ready to play, and will give experienced DM's a community to share ideas! Ages 8 and up.

Join other dungeon masters for a dungeon master workshop! During our September sessions, we will use D&D 5E rules to create our own one-shots. We will cover:

  • World building: location, town building, area building, gods, environment, etc.
  • Creating NPCs: designing and roleplaying
  • Designing battles: monster stat blocks, scaling encounters, and battle rules
  • Drawing Maps: dungeon maps and battle maps
  • Treasure and Magic Items
  • Basic Rules
  • Creating Characters (to help your players)

The four October sessions will be space to play our one-shots, or to continue writing them. For all of our sessions there is no experience needed, and all levels of experience are welcome. All necessary items will be provided. We will have computers with access to the basic D&D 5E rules, but you may bring any supplies you wish (such as the Dungeon Master’s Guide, the Player’s Handbook, the Monster Manual, or any of your own maps, notebooks, etc.). This program is welcome to all ages, but the content is designed for ages 8-12.
