Hybrid Sustainable Travel: in South Hill

A Science and Sustainability Program

Learn and explore the sciences and various sustainability topics at your Pierce County Library!

New to the area or just want better ways to get around South Hill? Join us to explore the basics of bus, train, bike, carpool, and specialized transportation services such as Pierce Transit SHUTTLE and Beyond the Borders. You’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to use sustainable travel options, plus eligible attendees can receive an ORCA card for use on the bus or train, and free safety gear while supplies last. Class offered in partnership with Ride Together Pierce, ForeverGreen Trails, and Pierce County Human Services, Pierce Transit.

If you are planning on attending online, registration for this program is required. If you are planning on attending in person you do not need to register.

How do Zoom programs work?

• Register for the program.
• A few hours before the program you will receive an email from the Pierce County Library System with a Zoom link and phone login information.
• When the Zoom program is scheduled to begin, log in and enjoy the program.
• If you are having trouble logging into the program simply reply to the email you receive with the Zoom login information and ask for help.
• The Pierce County Library recommends using the latest version of Zoom, with all current updates. Check for the latest version by clicking here.
• The Library System expects that all participants in Library virtual events and classes follow the Library Rules of Conduct. If an individual does not follow the Rules of Conduct, the library has the right to ask that individual to leave the virtual program.
