Join Pierce County Emergency Management to learn about Mount Rainier and for an overview of steps you can take to prepare for an emergency.

The mountain is out! People in Pierce County love to catch a glimpse of Mount Rainier throughout the day, but did you know this icon of the PNW is an active volcano? From scenic views to lava, lahars, and ash fall, Mount Rainier can be as deadly as it is beautiful. But living with an active volcano in our back yard doesn’t have to be scary. Join us to learn about the geology underneath the Cascades, historic eruptions in Washington, and what steps you can take to be prepared when Mount Rainier erupts again!

Registration not required but available if you would like a reminder email about this event.
