Join us for a program that celebrates the rich creative and cultural diversity in Pierce County Communities through arts and culture experiences.

Romare Bearden (1911-1988) was a visual artist, writer, and activist whose vibrant collages captured the richness of African American life, using everyday materials such as magazines, photos, and newspapers to tell powerful stories about family, culture, and place.

In this hands-on workshop you'll learn about Bearden's life and artistic legacy, create a collage using everyday materials, and share your story with others through visual art!
