Discover how animals benefit from their habitat and how animals can actually have positive impacts on the places they live! Learn what we can do to make sure there are healthy habitats and animals.

Program Includes:

  • Naturalist introduction and brief overview of Northwest Trek
  • Recorded observation of three different animals and their habitats
  • Discussion of what animals need to survive in their habitat and how that is similar, or different, to what humans need
  • Q&A throughout the program

This program will be streamed live to our Pierce County Library for Families with Kids Facebook Group starting at 11:00am until the end of the official program around 12:00pm. This program will be archived in the Facebook group, but no images of you or your child will be recorded and only first names will be used. If you prefer to watch the program on Facebook join the group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/PCLSFamilies

Note for caregivers - Registering your child for this event gives them permission to participate in the library's virtual event hosted on Zoom, an online platform. The event will be monitored by library staff. We encourage caregivers to join in with your child and ask that an adult stay with children under 5. 

How do Zoom programs work?

  1. Register for the program. Take care entering your email address properly.
  2. You will immediately receive an email including the Zoom link from donotreply@mylocallibrary.info. If you do not receive this link within an hour, contact us at VirtualPCLS@pcls.us.
  3. When the Zoom program is scheduled to begin, log in and enjoy the program. If you have any problems logging in, contact us at VirtualPCLS@pcls.us.
