The Pierce County Library System is partnering with the Tahoma Audubon Nature Book Group to bring Poetry Nature Walks to our community.
Each month we will meet at a different park to walk, read poems, and enjoy nature. In June, we will meet at Chambers Creek Regional Park (6320 Grandview Dr W, University Place, WA 98467) at 2 PM. The walk will take us through around the Central Meadow and over the bridge to the beach (.67 miles). The trails can be found on the park map: https://www.piercecountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/64754/Chambers-Creek-Existing-Site-Map-for-web?bidId=
If you would like, please feel free to bring a nature related poem (12 lines or less) to read. This is not required.
We will be meeting at Chambers Creek Regional Park at the entry plaza near the Central Meadow parking lot. The parking lot is down the hill from the entrance at Grandview Dr and 62nd St Ct W.

The path to the beach is completely paved, but not completely level; however, this walk is moderately easy and will not require a lot of stamina. There is parking and restrooms on site. Please note, this outdoor program may be canceled due to inclement weather.
