Join us for a choose your own adventure style book club where you get to pick a book, e-book, or audiobook that fits the theme! Ages 12-18
At the Gig Harbor Teen Book Club we don't want to tell you what to read and when to read it! Instead each month there will be a theme to help guide your reading selecting along with recommendations matching the theme to help guide your choice if you aren't sure what you may want to read. Every reader is different so please know that all formats are welcome, including, physical books, e-books, audiobooks, graphic novels, and more! Historically most themes lean towards the genres of fantasy and sci-fi but as we continue to grow more variety will be offered.
Come to the book club prepared to share the story of your choosing and to tell us a little bit about why you picked it and what you liked and/or disliked about it. This book club is a casual place for us to share our love or reading and stories!
The January 2023 theme is: Chosen Ones
Choose books that feature characters thrust into the roles of savior, villain, guardian, queen or king. Books recommended feature characters plucked from obscurity and thrust into destinies that could decide the fate of entire kingdoms, empires, or even worlds! Follow the journey of a character who goes from ordinary to incredibly powerful seemingly overnight.
